One of the most promising and widespread among them is container transportation. In order to maintain the competitiveness of container transportation, it is important to put into operation modern designs of containers intended for the transportation of a wide range of goods. In this regard, within the framework of the article, the design of a hopper-type container is proposed, which allows to transport bulk materials, as well as cargoes that require protection from atmospheric effects with the possibility of further unloading by gravity under the influence of gravitational properties. The results of the calculation of the strength of the container when loaded on a semi-trailer, as well as during its transportation, are presented. It was established that with the considered load schemes, the strength of the container is ensured. The natural frequencies and shapes of the container's vibrations are determined. The results of the thermal analysis of its design are given. It was established that the strength of the supporting structure of the container is maintained at a temperature of the transported cargo of 96°С. The conducted research will contribute to the creation of multi-functional container designs and increase the efficiency of container transportation.
2023-12-11T12:31:21+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://people.fberg.tuke.sk/tnl/index.php/tnl/article/view/130 Modern approaches in the design of transport handling equipment 2023-12-18T10:46:03+00:00 Matúš Virostko matus.virostko@tuke.sk Martin Mantič martin.mantic@tuke.sk
This paper deals about fundamentals of generative design and draws comparisons between the nature of software operation, topological optimization and generative design. Based on the measurements, we can conclude that at an average value of the load of the tested ropes of 49.5%, the temperature in the critical point begins to rise significantly due to plastic deformation. When the set limit is exceeded in terms of Hooke's law, which expresses the relationship between the deformation of a solid body caused by the action of stress and the magnitude of this stress, plastic deformation (non-linear increase) occurs. Up to these values, the increase is linear and the deformation is directly proportional to the stress of the material. It is assumed that if the rope were damaged, the temperature could rise more sharply even with a smaller load on the rope. The presented results of the laboratory experiments and the course of the experiments themselves revealed the necessity of very accurate temperature targeting.
2023-12-20T09:57:31+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://people.fberg.tuke.sk/tnl/index.php/tnl/article/view/137 Noise source visualization of conveyor systems on the postal packaging sorting line 2023-12-20T10:06:46+00:00 Marek Moravec marek.moravec@tuke.sk Miriama Piňosová miriama.pinosova@tuke.sk
Sound visualization tools are now used for the identification and localization of noise sources. This paper aimed to locate and quantify noise sources on a packet sorting line using an acoustic camera and then propose noise reduction measures. The result of these measurements and analyses was to sort the individual noise sources from less noisy to the noisiest, which gives a good assumption for better planning of spending on the implementation of noise reduction measures. The outputs of these measurements also give information on the character and frequency composition of the sound of individual sources, which will help out in the design of specific measures for noise reduction.
2023-12-20T10:04:45+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://people.fberg.tuke.sk/tnl/index.php/tnl/article/view/135 Streamlining processes and their digitization with the help of simulation and visualization 2023-12-20T10:20:44+00:00 Miriam Pekarčíková miriam.pekarcikova@tuke.sk Peter Trebuňa peter.trebuna@tuke.sk Marek Kliment marek.kliment@tuke.sk Matúš Matiscsák matus.matiscsak@tuke.sk Michal Dic michal.dic@student.tuke.sk
In the 21st century, most of the world's leading companies use simulation programs to simulate various processes. Software aimed at modelling and simulation greatly increases productivity and efficiency in the creative activity of workers and opens the potential for interactivity of workers in the value chain of the enterprise and in real time. The result is shorter development time, higher product quality, data collection, management and processing, and less expensive physical prototypes. These programs make it possible to record the entire process in the smallest details and thus eliminate bottlenecks, deficiencies and various errors that could occur during real production. The simulation will ensure the tracking of the entire production process even before the start of real production, so that the production will be as efficient as possible without any downtime and errors. The aim of the article is to highlight the issue of simulation and the introduction of Industry 4.0 principles into companies to increase the overall efficiency of business processes.
2023-12-20T10:08:45+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://people.fberg.tuke.sk/tnl/index.php/tnl/article/view/139 Crossroads modelling methodology in Extendsim 2023-12-23T20:53:35+00:00 Marek Ondov marek.ondov@tuke.sk Tawfik Mudarri tawfik.mudarri@tuke.sk Ján Petrovský jan.petrovsky@tuke.sk Rastislav Petrovský rastislav.petrovsky@tuke.sk Katarína Čerevková katarina.cerevkova@tuke.sk
Modelling and simulation are essential activities in the field of logistics. The ExtendSim simulation program found its use in modelling internal company processes such as production, storage, and internal transport. However, the modelling procedure is complex and requires knowledge of the software and the modelled object. The methodology is shown in the example of a crossroads model. This article investigates the limited adoption of advanced ground movement management technologies in regional and small airports, attributing the hesitation primarily to financial constraints. The study reveals efforts toward modernization for enhanced operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction. However, financial limitations pose challenges, especially for smaller airports lacking regular flights and passenger volume. The research emphasizes key priorities for regional airports, including accelerating the check-in process, improving overall airport efficiency, and minimizing operational costs. The article concludes by emphasizing the critical role of such technologies in improving airport safety, efficiency, and overall air transport quality, urging airport management to consider their integration for a transformative impact on operations.
2023-12-28T13:46:58+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://people.fberg.tuke.sk/tnl/index.php/tnl/article/view/138 Simulation of mine vertical transport 2023-12-30T14:10:00+00:00 Janka Saderova janka.saderova@tuke.sk
Vertical transport with the help of mining hoisting equipment in the deep mining of mineral raw materials is an essential part of the entire complex of intra-company transport at every mining plant.
