Analysis of maintenance operations in a selected company
Abstract
Efficient maintenance of production equipment is a key factor in ensuring reliability and minimizing downtime. This paper analyzes maintenance tasks in a manufacturing company specializing in compressor production. Pareto analysis was used in this work to identify the equipment on which the most maintenance operations were taking place, and which required the longest time to perform such operations. At the same time, the MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) indicator was calculated, which in this case was adjusted to the mean time between maintenance operations. A maintenance operation in this context includes any technical action required to restore the equipment to serviceability or to prevent potential failures. It may be preventive maintenance, replacement of worn parts repair of an unexpected fault, or refilling of operating fluids. This work aimed to identify the most risky machines in terms of the number of maintenance operations and their total duration for the study period 2023-2024. At the same time, the maintenance operations that occur most frequently in the selected equipment were identified in the work according to a multiple Pareto analysis.
