Abstract

The subject of research in this work is the simulation of mining railway transport. The ExtendSim8 software product was used to simulate the transport cycle of a train set. The article presents and describes a simulation model of the selected transport system. The system is characterized by the fact that the transport of raw materials is ensured from two loading points, while the unloading of these train sets is carried out at one common unloading point. The simulation results in several parameters: the number of loadings, the number of unloading, the number of trains set turnovers, downtimes at loading and unloading points, time utilization for the simulated time (6.5 hours) and others. Based on the values obtained from the simulation, the transport capacity of the simulated system for the selected parameters was calculated.
