DESIGN OF BOTTLENECK OPTIMIZATION IN SELECTED LOGISTICS COMPANY
Abstract
The article describes the functioning of logistics activities in the company from the receipt of goods to its final distribution. The essence of the article is an analysis of optimization problems in a selected foreign company, which should ensure the efficient functioning of the company as a whole. The introduction describes the receipt, placement of goods in the warehouse and specific storage. The following section deals with the distribution of received goods from intermediate storage. The bottlenecks in several parts of the goods flow are also described. Measures for their elimination were proposed for selected bottlenecks. At the end of the article, there is a simulation model in the software ExtendSim, which describes the course of individual activities performed in the company.
